1973 Replay
Permalink

1973 will be my 5th C & D all teams, all games, replay since I decided to go back to full season replays.

This was Willie Mays last season, Nolan Ryan set the Major League record for strikeouts, plus he threw 2 no-hitters and the AL decided that the pitchers didn't need to bat and introduced the DH rule.

Some notables first DH'ers were: Orlando Cepeda of the Red Sox, Tony Oliva for the Twins, Jim Ray Hart of the Yankees, Tommy Davis for the O's and Frank Robinson with the Angels.

I will be posting this replay a little different than the last two, I hope you will still enjoy following along.

Awesome strat!

Can't wait for this one, I'm even more excited about how you present it to us since you said it'll be different.

This will be my first replay of yours from start to finish as well. wink

So, who needs an off-season, anyway? biggrin

Sharpen the pencils, make sure you have plenty of paper, and get rollin'!

He had a very good year.

His homerun chances are the same as what Mays, Mantle & Powell had in my last replay.
