I just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone who has joined our new site in the past few weeks.

This has been a very difficult year, for a number of reasons.  I won't get into all the details, but I'd like to say that having SOMers up and running is about the best Christmas present I could have hoped for.

Thanks to the Tall Tactician for all the research and set-up time he put into it.  He deserves all the credit, and a round of applause is due.

We already have a vibrant, active, community, and I believe it will continue to grow.  We still have some bugs to work out, but those are being handled.

The way we have quickly settled in is a tribute to not only to you, but SOM, as well.  Hal Richman's creation was truly The Little Game That Could.

They are experiencing some "growing pains" right now, I think, with all of their new associations, and a heavier than expected holiday crunch.  I think they will emerge better and stronger than before.

Here, we are actively trying to stay clear of that.  It will work itself out, eventually, and publicly gnashing our teeth probably won't help matters.

I know I would rather focus on what's great and good about not only the game, but our group of gamers here.

Those who have been lucky enough to get their holiday SOM deliveries can delight in their good fortune.

To those whose orders are still up in the air, you have our hopes that everything is taken care of soon.  We have discussed things in private, or in other settings.  Best wishes to you, and I hope the delivery truck gets there soon.

To everyone, Season's Greetings.  And, may our friendships grow that much stronger, as we enter the New Year.

Strat is, and has been, an integral part of my life for the past 40 years. There have been a lot of ups and downs during that time but I could always reatreat into some fine baseball action to keep me going. How dedicated am I? I spent a year in various facilities without having a home of my own and I was only able to save a very small percentage of my life's possessions. What did I save first? All of my Strat stuff of course. If they are running a little bit behind this year I certainly owe them however much patience they deserve. Thanks for the new site where I can speak to others who love Strat. It is an honor to be here!
