I can say in all honesty that this site is far better then I could have ever imagined.

Her brothers never played...it was something for her to learn about. In our previous league that came to a screeching halt after 9/11 (oh boy)...I won the division over her by a huge margin but she beat me in the playoffs 4-3....sigh. 95-96 or 97. That PC crashed and all those records were lost.

Welcome aboard. Always nice to have another Vet in the lineup.

Having done 20 in the Navy, I never got to drive a tank. And they are probably lucky they never let me drive the boat!

Thank you for your service! I am in the oddest unit I've ever been in...it truly is what it is...what was your duty position? I started in tanks but from 9/11 onwards primarily served as a Army/Joint historian.

Thanks to you, too!

Print and Broadcast Journalist. Armed Forces Radio and TV, base/shipboard newspapers, Public Affairs, that sort of stuff.

One of the "fun" jobs (not that driving a tank doesn't have a particular appeal...until the shooting starts).

Being a Historian sounds cool. Learning about the history of baseball is one of the things a like most about the game, and what SOM provides me access to.

We learned to work with PAO...tanks are much better when shooting starts than a HUMMER with cloth doors!
