I am a lifelong Oakland A's fan. So here goes
Manager- Billy Martin, he took a bad team and made them relevant quick. Then quickly burned everyone out.
C- Gene Tenace
SP- Catfish Hunter- Vida Blue
RP Rollie Fingers
1B- Mark McGwire
2b- Ill have to give this one some more thought.
SS- Bert Camaneris
3b Sal Bando
OF Jeff Burroughs, for some reason, always liked him.
OF Billy North, one of my original Topps baseball cards at age 7-8. One of the reasons I am an A's fan.
OF Ricky Henderson - obviously
DH Reggie Jackson

Those early to mid 70's A's teams were a colorful fun-loving crew that still got the job done.

I'd wake up at night with the smell of the ball park in my nose, the cool of the grass on my feet...The Thrill of the Grass...Heck, I'd play for free!

Just ran across this post, wasn't on the forum at the time

My All-Time Red Sox (that I've seen play) team

C - Jason Varitek - the Captain
1b - Kevin Youkillis - good hitter, you'd think I'd have a better choice here, but I don't
2b - Dustin Pedroia - scrappy, has develped into a very good leader
3b - Mike Lowell - classy player, a pro's pro
SS - Nomar Garciaparra - wow, could he hit
LF - Carl Yastremski - a shell of his younger years when I saw him, but he was Yaz and that was big in New England when I grew up
CF - Fred Lynn - my favorite player when I first started following baseball
RF - Dwight Evans - great arm, underrated offensively
Utl - Brock Holt- plays everywhere and plays well
DH - David Ortiz - no one as come up bigger at the most important time
PR - Dave Roberts - most important stolen base in Red Sox history
RHP - Pedro Martinez - just amazing
LHP - Jon Lester - wish we still had him
Mgr - Terry Francona

With a nod to some Bogaerts and Betts - two of my favorites, but time will tell if they supplant who I have now

"The players are the same age always, but the man in the crowd is older every season."
