Thank you Sir...We are in packing hell of sorts as Army movers come in less than 2 weeks. The Strat game will move with us however. My last wargames will be shipped the day before.

A number of operations and other Wounded Warrior stuff set us WAY back in Chris Berman voice over ways....My wife says it's nice to hear lots of Strat dice rolling.

Been there, done that, with the packouts.  Always a fun time. biggrin

I retired back in '95 after 20 years in the Navy.

We thank you as well! in 2012 I moved 5 times, the wife 4....

The Army tried to screw me out of my final moe - they lost, but in anticipation of that we packed ourselves out. Now the moers will repack it but hey - the house is cleared. The downside - 95% of my Start cards are packed.

That's a lot of movin'!

When I moved for the first time, they duct-taped the SOM boxes (bleh), obviously to keep contents from spilling out.  But they are certainly nowhere near mint anymore.

Had a buddy once, at Gitmo (before it became a penal colony).  He transferred suddenly, taking huge chunks of my '75 and '76 sets with him.

Ouch. I lost my original Strat box decades ago, with the insert at the side. I want that one back!

I still have my original boxes, even with the tape remnants.

I spent a few bucks on eBay (definitely more than I spent when I bought the sets originally), restoring my '75 and '76 sets.

Unsure if:

Mom threw it out

1st Wife threw it out

Lost in PCS move

I don't like the current infield in the new games so I bought a 70's box wit hthe old infield and am happier somewhat.

I've never lost Strat in a PCS! My last PCS move happens in 5 weeks, and I hope the streak continues.

Strat is what kept me sane during my "paid vacations" to the Middle East!
