If Wagner doesn't get in this next round I'll shake my head.

I'm surprised he didn't get in in the first round.  Quite possibly, no one has ever excelled playing so many different positions.

In fact, Wagner balked when he was told that the Pirates finally wanted him to settle down and play only shortstop.

He played more than 200 games at four different positions: shortstop, first base, third base and right field.  The only position be never played was catcher.

Thanks.  Always good to have folks who remember the Oldtimers.

To which guys like rollsox will respond, "You mean, like Seaver, and Reggie, and Bench?" wink

 Brian,

Glad you found it! We already declared round 1 and put these guys in.

Babe Ruth
Ty Cobb
Willie Mays
Hank Aaron
Walter Johnson
Cy Young

I encourage you to pick it up from there and get us your round 2 pick. Some of your round 1 choices are still out there waiting their turn at enshrinement.

 Brian,

I want you to understand that the way you voted you are passing on some of your 1st ten that did not get selected in the SOMers 1st round. Do you intend to skip Alexander, Mathewson, Wagner, Gehrig, and Collins?
