It's almost time for the college football season to begin!  I purchased the 2012 edition of Strat-O-Matic College Football and have been signed as the new head coach of the Howard University Bison of the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference. (MEAC)  So, if you are a fan of college football and want to follow a conference that does not get too much press, this is the replay for you!  Practice begins this week!  Hope to see you all in the stands for a fun fall of College Football Strat-O-Matic style!

This will be cool to follow along with Coach.

I enjoy watching the games of the lesser known Conferences during football season.

That's what I was hoping for.  A chance to get to know a team that is hardly ever in the national spotlight.  It may be a fun project.

Looking at the passing stats, I'm wondering if you're going to have a running team Coach.

Looking at their per catch average, as well as their longest pass plays..............either their conference had the greatest defenses in the country, or they just hardly even tried to throw the ball. And if memory is correct, they finished a game under .500, so there HAD to have been times when they were behind and NEEDED to throw.

I think that picture will become clear after I post the running stats.  They are pretty amazing.

QB Greg McGhee is on the roster for the BC Lions (CFL)........here is his bio from their website............looks like 2012 was his sophomore year maybe, and he got better as he went along......

2011-2014: Greg joins the Lions after a notable four-year career at Howard University. The Pittsburgh native appeared in a total of 43 games for the Bison throwing for 7,589 yards on 731 completions with 49 touchdowns. A gifted runner, he also racked-up 2,579 yards on 535 carries with 26 touchdowns. He wrapped his career as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s all-time leader in total offence with 10,169 yards. As a senior in 2014, he led the MEAC in passing yards with 2,388 along with 15 majors and a rating of 114.3 while tallying the 847 yards on the ground, fourth-best in the conference, on his way to earning co-Offensive Player of the Year kudos.

I knew he turned pro, but I did not realize it was up in Canada.  I wonder what kind of a pro career he had.  And I believe that you are right what you said that this year will be his sophomore year.
