Classic80 (1990-91) & Retro70 (1973-74)

Hey guys,

Classic80 - We are currently looking to fill one of our two opening in the Great Commission Classic Basketball Association, nicknamed the Classic80. We soon will be starting our 1990-91 season and will have the two new coaches participate in the dispersal draft where Karl Malone will be available in the draft where you will have a 50-50 chanced of winning the right to draft him. Others available include Kevin McHale, Isaiah Thomas, Chuck Person, Mark Eaton, Mark Aguirre, Danny Ainge, Ledell Eackles, Jon Koncak, Jeff Malone, LaSalle Thompson, and Hot Rod Williams. We will be starting out 11th season, play a season every 8-9 months, allow 8-keepers, draft up to 15 through our rookie/free agent draft, have an active league in trades, and have a great group of coaches.

Retro70 - Just finishing up our 3rd season soon to be starting our 4th using both the 1973-74 ABA and NBA rosters. We have had some turnover probably because of the cost of purchasing both rosters each year, but the two rosters do make the league more enjoyable using players from both leagues. I believe we will have 8 new coaches in our dispersal draft to start the new season and still looking for a few coaches to fill out the league. Similar rules as our Classic80 (8-keepers, draft up to 15, use games missed list so secondary players important when starters miss games). Even if you have not played the basketball game, we are a patient group willing to help teach you the game if you enjoyed basketball during the 1970's.

Send me an email if interested in either league: support at somhoops dot com.
