Milwaukee first baseman in 1960 - Joe Ad****. You have to key the last name with a number 0 to read Joe Adc0ck. Any others you have come across?

It's just a problem in this one instance, so far as I can tell, though I haven't tried other words (please remember, we are a family site).

Still, if I liked to post of sipping ****tails with a lady friend, or waking up on the farm to the sound of the **** crowing, and my faithful ****er Spaniel barking to be let out...

You get the ****amamie picture. wink

Former baseball player Pete LaC0ck was (and presumably still is) the son of former Hollywood Squares host Peter Marshall, who was born Ralph LaC0ck. There's a point about the sensibilities of the public in there somewhere, I suppose, though one could argue the change from Ralph to Peter was a bit counterproductive.

Ralph Pierre LaC0ck, better known by his stage name Peter Marshall (born March 30, 1926), is an American television and radio personality, singer, and actor. He was the original host of The Hollywood Squares, from 1966 to 1981. He has almost fifty television, movie, and Broadway credits. His stage name reportedly derived from the college in his home town (Marshall College, which became Marshall University in 1961).

And don't get me wrong. Not griping about it, I agree with the filter. Initially surprised, that's all.

I've been running into a lot of this while using the 1986 Japanese season.

I'm certainly not advocating way to post inappropriate language in the forum, but I have a way to avoid asterisks in a player's otherwise harmless name.  If you just change the "font family" for one of the letters, the asterisks disappear.

Joe Ad**** becomes Joe Adcock

A little extra work nets a nice result.

Thanks.  Ironically, I think "Don ****roft" actually makes the problem worse, not better.  No one would think twice about seeing his uncensored name.
