Archie Griffin (only 6 yards on 15 carries) coughs up the ball and Michigan is in business at the Buckeye 16 with 6:23 let in the half.

Mike Lantry misses a chip shot field goal attempt from the 21 and the score remains 14-0.

. . . and that's the way the half ends.

Fourth and one at the Michigan one. The Buckeyes go for it, trying to put the game away. Fullback Bruce Elia is stuffed for a one-yard loss! Michigan takes over at their own two with 10:54 left in the third quarter, still trailing 14-0.

After three quarters of play, the Buckeyes lead the Wolverines 14-0. Neither team is able to generate much offense, which helps Ohio State at this point.

The Buckeyes put together a fine drive (76 yards on 12 plays), which stalls at the Michigan three. Blair Conway connects on the easy field goal and the Buckeyes lead 17-0 with 10:52 left.

Neal Colzie gets his second interception, this time a 35-yard pick-six. Buckeyes lead 24-0 with 10:04 remaining. That's four turnovers for Michigan to Ohio State's one. Hard to win a game like this when you lose the turnover battle.

Not nearly as much fun as the last one, but it is what it is.  Ohio State wins its fourth in a row and leads the series 8-4.  Michigan won the first three out of four in the series and appeared as though they would similarly dominate subsequent games.  But the Buckeyes have won seven of the last eight.  The streaky nature of the series is similar to how the two teams have played in real life.  Perhaps next year the Wolverines can turn things around.

Speaking of real life, the real deal is tomorrow with the #2 Wolverines taking on the #3 Buckeyes at The Shoe in Columbus.  It promises to be a much differently played game, to say the least.
