15-16 Pacers Replay, with Philip Fitzpatrick as a Top Rookie Center.

I am doing another 15-16 Indiana Pacers replay, this time Philip Fitzpatrick will be a rookie reserve center, but the team's #1 pick, out of Notre Dame.  Fitzpatrick will have a 1 shooter rating, and is expected to make 53% of his field goals, and have 8 PPG and 6 RPG.   For the first time, I have a 4-rated shooter in Paul George, and two players with great defense ratings (16-25 shot-no good), Philip Fitzpatrick and Paul George, and besides Fitzpatrick and George, they also have two other rated shooters, C.J. Miles (2) and Monta Ellis (1).   Expect the Pacers to win 40-50 games, and reach the playoffs!

The season begins October 27th in Toronto as they play the Raptors.

Game 1 - 10/27/15 - Air Canada Centre

PACERS       105 (0-1)

RAPTORS     112

The Raptors had outstanding performances by Kyle Lowry (35/4/8) and DeMar DeRozan (31/6/6) as they outlasted the Pacers 112-105.  DeMarre Carroll also contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds.  The Raps did well shooting the ball, making 49% of their field goals, and they outscored the Blue & Gold 31-18 in the 3rd quarter to put this one away.  Paul George was just 8-for-24 from the floor, but he had a big game with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead Indy.  Rodney Stuckey was next with 22 points and 7 rebounds while C.J. Miles added 19 and rookie center Philip Fitzpatrick had 16 points and 7 boards.  Ty Lawson also had a great Pacer debut with 10 assists.

INDIANA PACERS INDIVIDUAL STATS

Mahinmi 6/4/2, Miles 19/4/1, G. Hill 10/0/2, Ellis 3/5/2, George 25/9/8, Fitzpatrick 16/7/0, S. Hill 0/1/2, Lawson 2/2/10, Stuckey 22/7/2, J. Hill 2/7/1.

TORONTO RAPTORS LEADERS

Points - Lowry, 35

Rebounds - DeRozan/Carroll, 6

Assists - Lowry, 8.

The Pacers will have their home opener for their next game, against the Memphis Grizzlies, October 29th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Orlando jumped out to a 30-22 lead and hung on to win as 8 players scored at least 7 points or more, and they out-rebounded Indy 53-41. Game 11 - 11/16/15 - United Center

PACERS...81 (6-5)
BULLS...109

The Chicago Bulls crushed the Pacers, and Jimmy Butler was a big reason why, with 42 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists, while Aaron Brooks drained 5 three-pointers. The Bulls clearly outshot the Blue & Gold 51%-38%, and despite Paul George's game high 12 rebounds, they also won the rebound battle, 51-47. Despite losing by 28, the Pacers did a great job holding Derrick Rose to only 13 points and Pau Gasol to just 6. But rebounding and long distance shooting killed Indy, as Taj Gibson grabbed 10 rebounds, and Gasol hauled down 9. Chicago was 9-for-12 from 3-point range while the Pacers were only 6-of-18. George was the only good news for Indiana, with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.

INDIANA PACERS:

CHICAGO BULLS LEADERS:
Points - Butler, 42
Rebounds - Gibson, 11
Assists - Rose, 9.

Game 12 - 11/18/15 - Wells Fargo Center

PACERS...99 (6-6)
76ERS...100

The Philadelphia 76ers almost blew a 15-point first quarter lead, as Jahlil Okafor tied the game with a bucket with :08 left, and won it with a tie-breaking free throw as they won their first game of the year, defeating the Indiana Pacers 100-99. Okafor led the Sixers with 19 points, followed by Nik Stauskas with 14 and near double-doubles by the point guard combo of Ish Smith (13 points/9 assists) and T.J. McConnell (10 points/8 assists). Philly torched Indiana with their sensational field goal shooting in the first quarter, making 74% of their shots, en route to a more human 56% accuracy rate. The Pacers, losers of 5 of their last 7 games, spoiled a near triple-double by Paul George (23 p/7 r/9 a), a 23-point effort by Monta Ellis and a career high 18 points from Philip Fitzpatrick. Indy out-rebounded Philly 46-42, but no player would grab more than 7 rebounds in this contest.

INDIANA PACERS
Mahinmi 10/5/1, George 23/7/9, Ellis 23/4/2, Miles 2/2/2, Allen 2/4/0, Fitzpatrick 18/6/2, S. Hill 4/2/2, Lawson 7/3/1, Robinson 2/6/1, J. Hill 6/6/2.

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS LEADERS:
