Need 3 singles from 1975 SADV set
Permalink

Hi Guys,

I need 3 cards from the 1975 SADV recreated season for a project that I'm hoping to get underway soon.

H. Killebrew (KC)
L. Parrish (MTL)
H. Aaron (MIL)

I'd be willing to purchase these singles or their respective teams if you have them for available.

I'm also looking for the complete 1975 SADV season at a reasonable price if anyone has one available (for me, reasonable price would be $100 or less).  I do have some teams from this set (including both world series teams), so I'd even be interested in a partial set.

Let me know if you can help out.

Thanks,
MJB

I only have 6-10 games left for my current project before the next one begins and I still need these 3 cards from 1975.

Please let me know if you have these cards or teams or the entire set available.

I wish I had the set. Good luck to you. I hope you get the cards.

Thanks Tall Tactician.

It's one of those things - I've had opportunities to pick up the set over the years but always chose something else. Back then, the '70s stuff didn't really interest me at all. The past few years, I'm at the point where I have just about everything else, so those 70's SADV sets are more interesting to me. I've been able to track down the '71 and '78 sets but '75 has eluded me. Now I'm kicking myself for all the times I passed it over for something else.

I thought I had a deal done to pick up '75 when I was organizing my next project - so that's why I included those '75 cards, but it fell through. So I went through the process of setting up teams and, to me, it will feel like I'm cheating the project a bit if I change those players out for different seasons. I may get to that point - but am hopeful something will pull through.

Down to a 5-game series to wind-up my current project.

I have now received these 3 cards thanks to members of the S-O-M community, including one on this forum.

Thanks all for the help.

I'm still interested in the complete or even a partial 1975 SADV season if anyone has one.

Not much of one for posting results of replays/tournaments.

I'm excited about this one (like all projects I guess).  This one isn't strictly a '75 project but a, for lack of a better title, a "career league" we're I've selected some of my favorite players and other players of interest to me.  Then I made 8 random teams with 26-man rosters.  Then for each player, I randomly selected a card/season to utilize based on the available cards that I have (so a guy like Jamie Moyer, you could randomly end up with any of the 22 cards of his that I have; others, like Sandy Koufax would only have 10 years; and others, like Dan Quisenberry would have 3 years).  I have all SADV seasons apart from '75 so I have a good base of cards/players/seasons to work with.

As you can see, based on my request for '75 cards, I had a deal in place for the '75 season when I created the league but that fell through.  So changing Hank Aaron from '75 (.234/.332/.419) to another of his random years would have been a pretty significant impact.

I'm not sure if I'll do more than one season, but if I enjoy the league, then for a second season, I would re-select the season to be utilized for each player with the previously used card unavailable.  I am also planning to allow trades, so for a team that isn't going to win this year, they may be interested in '75 Hank Aaron knowing that they'll get a much better Aaron card the following year - so maybe they move their '89 Saberhagen, 63 Bouton or '55 Score for him or something (sort of like trading prospects for veterans).  If a player only has 1 season, then that player would "retire" and that team would get a randomly selected player at that position to replace him.

Anyways, just trying a new idea out.  I'm pretty excited about it as I've kept it  my favorite players and players/cards of interest - so every team is loaded with guys I like (even if they aren't that good, or the card for them represents a terrible year).
