SOM is holding a 25%-off sale on the 1911, '20, '24, '30, 2006 and '12 baseball season cards and rosters.

Everyone could use a little spring training…Take 25% Off the 1911, 1920, 1924, 1934, 2006, and 2012 seasons!
1911: Ty Cobb hits .420 while Home Run Baker powers the A's to the title.
1920: After a tragic death by pitch, Cleveland takes advantage of eight banned White Sox to win a three-team pennant race.
1924: Drama abounds as the Senators win their first and only World Series while Rogers Hornsby posts a record .424 batting average.
1934: The Dean brothers lead the Cardinals' Gashouse Gang to a victory in a hard-fought seven game series. Lou Gehrig goes .363-49-165 on the way to a Triple Crown in the meantime!
2006: The Tigers returned to the World Series after several disappointing seasons, but the Pujols-led Cardinals stopped them there after barely making the playoffs.
2012: Miguel Cabrera gets the first Triple Crown in 45 years while the Giants win their second World Series in three years. In the same season, the Nationals get the most wins, the first Mets no-hitter happens, and the Yankees hit their most home runs ever!

Usually to try and get people to buy card sets of seasons that haven't sold as well as others. Freeing up some inventory space would be a good guess.

More seasons now on sale:

Take 25% Off the 1941, 1948, 1951, 1954, 2007, and 2013 seasons!
1941: Joe DiMaggio gets a hit in 56 straight games and the Yankees pull out a title on a passed ball. You can't make this stuff up!
1948: Cleveland's most recent title came after they beat the Boston Red Sox in a 1-game playoff and then the Boston Braves in the World Series.
1951: Bobby Thomson hits the Shot Heard Round the World to cap off one of the greatest comeback pennant wins in history. Rookies Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle make their debuts as well.
1954: After winning an AL-record 111 games, the Indians get swept in the World Series by the Giants, who saw the return of Willie Mays.
2007: The Rockies make their first World Series appearance only to be swept by the Red Sox. Barry Bonds sets the all-time career HR record as countless sluggers reach offensive milestones.
2013: Miguel Cabrera made a case for another Triple Crown but fell just short, while Mike Trout has a sophomore season to remember. Boston goes from worst to first and wins their third title in a decade.

And more...

Take 25% Off the 1955, 1957, 1960, 1963, 2008 and 2014 seasons!
1955: Brooklyn wins its only World Series on the strength of Duke Snider and Roy Campanella. Mickey Mantle has his best season to date, but it's not enough to keep the Yankees' streak of dominance over the Dodgers alive.
1957: The Milwaukee Braves won their first World Series as the NL was loaded with young black stars like Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson and Ernie Banks.
1960: Pittsburgh wins its first World Series since 1925 in walk-off fashion through Bill Mazeroski. Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle make a dynamic duo for the ages.
1963: Pitching is the highlight this year as pitchers like Marichal, Ford, Maloney, and Radatz take over. Koufax and the Dodgers dominate the World Series over the Yankees.
2008: The Phillies are champions for the first time since 1980, as the Rays go from worst to first in the AL. Ryan Howard and Chase Utley power Philadelphia to the top.
2014: The Giants win their third World Series in five years as Madison Bumgarner cemented his clutch legacy. Kansas City wins the AL pennant for the first time since 1985 in a highly competitive year.

It looks like they may eventually work through their entire stock of seasons.

One last Spring sale:

Take 25% Off the 1964, 1965, 1966, 2009, 2010, and 2015 seasons!
1964: The Yankees have a scorching September to claim the pennant, but Bob Gibson stands tall in Game 7 to give the Cardinals the crown.
1965: Marichal is suspended after hitting John Roseboro over the head with a bat and the Dodgers take advantage to win the pennant and the World Series against the upstart Twins.
1966: New acquisition Frank Robinson leads the O's to their first pennant and their first World Series win. They take the Series in style, with a sweep of the Dodgers in Koufax's final year.
2009: The Phillies make it back to the World Series, but the Yankees end up on top in their first World Series win since 2000. Rivera, Teixeira, Jeter, Cano, and Matsui led the way for the Bronx Bombers, the highest scoring team in baseball.
2010: The Giants win their first World Series since moving to San Francisco, beating out the Rangers in Texas's first appearance. There are six (!) no hitters thrown and Halladay throws two of them in a year dominated by pitching.
2015: Arrieta and Keuchel headline their respective leagues, while Grinke and Kershaw form a formidable 1-2 punch for the Dodgers. However, it's the Royals who return to the World Series and this time, they finish the job against the Murphy-led playoff Mets.

As much as I would like to bite I have about eight unplayed baseball sets and as many unplayed hockey sets. I just can't justify it.
