Hello, I am new to the site but have been playing strat since 82. I switched to the computer version in 11 and haven't looked back.  I have been wanting to do a Team Tournament Championship for a while now and began it last month.  Here is the idea.  I will play a 16 team tournament for each team.  The winners will be entered in the 32 Team Champions Tournament which will include the winner for all 30 teams plus 2 wild card teams of my choosing or a vote if anyone wants to put their 2 cents in.  Seeding is based on winning %. It is a 2-2-1-1-1 format. * pitchers will pitch on 3 days rest. Teams will be taken from the 27, 41, 50, .61, 65, 69, 73, 75, 78, 80, 85, 86, 92, 95, 99, 02, 05, 07, 11, 13, 14, and 15 seasons. I will be managing the home team for every game with HAL managing the visitors (despite his sometimes questionable decisions), that way I get to play with every team.  I chose this site after reading many, many projects. It seems you have a good group of guys here. I hope you enjoy, I know I will.

On a side note...If Franchise Wars were to ever fire back up, I would most definitely be interested.

Being a Mets fan, the team I started with is the Mets.  Here's what I have so far...

The top seed 86 NYM breezed to a 4-1 series victory over the (16) 80 NYM

(15)  95 NYM upsets (2)  69 mets 4-1... Seaver and Koosman awful, Harnish 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA

(3) 85 NYM come back to defeat (14) 92 NYM 4-3...3 games went to extras

(4) 99 NYM crush (13) 13 NYM...Piazza 4 HR...Ventura 3 HR

(5) 15 NYM wins a tight  one against (12) 02 NYM 4-2... 5 games decided by one run

That's the recap, more to come.

Sad to see the '69's go so quickly.

I became a baseball fan in the Fall-Winter of '69, and I latched onto the Mets as a favorite team.  I remember Bud Harrelson being my first-ever favorite player.

Maybe the '73's can do something.

Welcome to the group, and have fun with the rest of your tourney.

I was shocked to see 69 knocked out so easily by a sub 500 team.  I began rooting for the Mets as an 8 year old in 74.  I went to Shea for the first time in 76.  I was a huge Dave Kingman fan.  He either homered, struck out or hit a towering pop out to the infield.  Thanks for the reply.

Should be interesting to see which team from each franchise will emerge to enter the Champions Tourney. Will be following.

I'm glad you are sharing here. It's fun to see different projects on here.

Someday the Franchise Wars to come back to life.

Thanks, I have been wanting to do this one for a while. I think having people following makes it even more rewarding. Now that I have started, I have been wondering if any of the other "Evil Empire" teams can knock off the 27 yanks.

I am having a blast, I have sooooo many projects in my head. I have done many replays, I am trying to do things outside the box now.  On a side note...when you guys play, do you hear color commentating in your head or am I the only one? Just curious.

Man, my Mets (in real life) are hard to watch this year. Blowing a 7-3 lead at home. Terrible year.
